Hey Hey, Come Out Tonight: Blur kicks off reunion tour

At the East Anglican Railway Museum, no less, proving once again that they’re the most English band that’s ever been.  With prodigal guitar genius Graham Coxon back in the fold for the first time in 9 years, and a set heavy on both hits and semi-obscure album tracks, goddamn if this doesn’t make us feel all warm on the inside.

The NME has the details, but here’s the most important part – the setlist:

‘She’s So High’
‘Girls And Boys’
‘Tracy Jacks’
‘There’s No Other Way’
‘Jubilee’
‘Badhead’
‘Beetlebum’
‘Trimm Trabb’
‘Coffee & TV’
‘Tender’
‘Country House’
‘Charmless Man’
‘Colin Zeal’
‘Oily Water’
‘Chemical World’
‘Sunday Sunday’
‘Parklife’
‘End Of A Century’
‘To The End’
‘This Is A Low’
‘Popscene’
‘Advert’
‘Song 2′
‘Out Of Time’
‘Battery In Your Leg’
‘Essex Dogs’
‘For Tomorrow’
‘The Universal’

They played half of Modern Life Is Rubbish – how great is that?  Here’s hoping they get their cheese-making asses over to Magic America this year.  In the meantime, here’s how we last saw them before the split – invoking Black And Blue on Conan in September of 2000 with “Music Is My Radar”.

UPDATE:  “COUNTRY HOUSE”! - Colchester, June 13, 2009 (give this one a chance to load a bit before you view)
