Which, in addition to being another rock gem from the Almighty Redd Kross, features the line “making fun of assholes at the Rainbow”.
Well, just this afternoon I found myself walking past the Rainbow. It was hot, I was thirsty, and, quite frankly, I wanted to see some assholes… and 10 minutes later I’m overhearing the Vince Neil clone a few barstools down talking about the tour of the Midwest his Crue cover band had just undertaken. Yes, not only does he look like Vince Neil, but he plays him stage. And no, I don’t know how to make an umlaut.
Twenty one years later, the Jeff McDonald Theory of Asshole Relativity on the Sunset Strip still holds true. Impressive, to say the least.
Of course, 10 minutes before that, I listened to Love’s “Maybe The People Would Be The Times Or Between Clark And Hilldale” while standing on Sunset between Clark and Hilldale, so there might just be a little bit of pot-kettle-black happening right now…
